Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
