Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
