Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 until an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
