Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other, the verses of the Holy Qur'an, the angels, or the winds. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
