Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 "Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done." 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
