Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
