Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
