The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Of what do they ask one another? 1 About the great tidings! 2 whereon they are at variance. 3 (What they think is certainly despicable!). They will soon come to know (the reality). 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 And the mountains as pegs? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 And made your sleep for rest, 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 and made the day for earning a livelihood. 11 We raised over you several secure (skies), 12 And We have set therein lamps glowing. 13 and sent down abundant water from the clouds 14 that We may bring forth thereby grain and plants, 15 And dense gardens. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors, 19 And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 It will be a place of return 22 Living therein for ages. 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 Save boiling water and a paralysing cold: 25 An appropriate recompense. 26 Indeed, they were not expecting an account 27 But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false. 28 And all things have We preserved on record. 29 So taste (the fruit of what you sowed), for We shall add nothing but torment, 30

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
