The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And those who govern the event, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
