The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 And who glide with ease. 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
