The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
