Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 by raising its vault high and fashioning it flawlessly, 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 and the earth which He spread out, 30 He brought out its water and its pastures from it, 31 And the mountains He has fixed firmly; 32 A provision for you and for your cattle. 33 AND SO, when the great overwhelming event [of resurrection] comes to pass 34 the human being will recall whatever he has done. 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 then he who transgressed 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 Then indeed hell only is his destination. 39 And for one who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from desire, 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 With thy Lord is the Limit fixed therefore. 44 Thou art but [sent] to warn those who stand in awe of it. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
