Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
