The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
