The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
