The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
