The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
