The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
