The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
