Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble, recording, 11 They know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
