Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Illustrious scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
