Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
