Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
