Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
