Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
