Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
