Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
