Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: Shattering (Al-Infitaar). Sent down in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
