The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 5 O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. 6 Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 shall call for destruction 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 He used to live joyfully among his people, 13 Surely he thought that he would never return. 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 So I swear by the twilight glow 16 by the night and all that it envelops; 17 And by the moon when she becometh full. 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 So, what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. 23 So give them good tidings of a painful chastisement, 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
