The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
