The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
