The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 by a burning fire 5 while they sat around it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
