The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
