The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 and by the promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
