The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 They sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
Almighty God's Truth.
