Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17

God the Almighty always says the truth.
