The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is no merriment. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
