The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
