The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
