17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
