The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
