Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions ranged! 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
