Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 raised couches, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their turning back, 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
