Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a high Garden 10 hearing there no babble; 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
