Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 in a sublime garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And goblets set at hand 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 Thou art not over them a warden. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
