Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
