Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 with a flowing spring, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 and goblets laid out, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
