Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And goblets set at hand 14 And cushions ranged! 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 Thou art not over them a warden. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
