Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In a Garden on high, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
