The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of the night when it covers 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And believeth in goodness; 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 And denied the best matter, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 But save him who fears 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 They do not expect any reward 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
